OVER THE COUNTER (OTC) PREPARATIONS
FMI can manufacture and fill your over the counter (OTC) product in a variety of packaging configurations including bottles, tubes and packettes in our FDA registered facility. Your product will be formulated by our skilled product development team and manufactured on a full-scale by our experienced compounders to your specifications while using cGMP protocols.
Over the counter (non-prescription) products are defined and regulated as drugs and considered safe and effective for use by the general public without seeking treatment by a health professional. Examples of OTC products include skin care products that make claims such as anti-acne, SPF sun care products, lip balm products that heal chapped lips, cough and cold remedies, topical antifungal, ophthalmic preparations and others.
ORGANIC OTC PRODUCTS
As is a common trend in other categories, consumers are seeking organic alternatives for many of the products the OTC products they use. If your over the counter product is organic, FMI is qualified to manufacture and package it. FMI is CCOF certified so you can be confident that we maintain the organic integrity of your product. CCOF stands for California Certified Organic Farmers which is a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) accredited organic certifying agency and trade association. CCOF is one of the first organic certifying agencies and their organic certification standards were used as the foundation for the USDA National Organic Program which made “certified organic” a federally regulated claim.
